Winesong! is a nationally recognized charity wine auction and tasting attended by more than 1,100 guests from 28 states, who come together to make this one of the most spectacular events on the West Coast. AUCTIONS, TASTING, ARTISTS ……

AUCTION
The auction takes place in a tent on the coastal Headlands Saturday from 2 p.m. to
5 p.m. The live auction features nearly 100 exciting lots, in addition to the silent auction with more than 120 lots.  Large format bottles, vertical collections, and some hard to find European wines characterize the event, along with some exceptional California cult wines which are always at the auction.  Proceeds are used to enhance equipment, facilities and services at the Mendocino Coast District Hospital. The Medical Evacuation Helipad, Out Patient Surgical services and Emergency Department Equipment are just a few of the vital areas that Winesong! funds have enhanced. Since 1985 Winesong! has raised over $4 million for improvements in local healthcare.

TASTING
The Wine Tasting is scheduled Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is held outdoors along the garden paths. Each year over 100 of California’s highly acclaimed wineries showcase their best vintages. The wine is complemented by samples of the excellent cuisine of over 50 of Mendocino County’s restaurants and food purveyors. To add to the festivities, musical groups perform throughout the gardens in a variety of styles including French and Irish folk music, Latin, Steel Drums, Classical, Jazz, and Big Band.
Barrel Tasting is scheduled Friday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Our thanks go to all the dedicated artists who generously contribute their creative talent and valuable time in support of our Hospital. Auctioning art successfully at Winesong! is a reflection of Mendocino’s vibrant art scene. Most of the artists at Winesong! show in the many fine art galleries throughout the Mendocino Coast. This year marks the 3nd annual Winesong! Artists’ Showcase, held each year in the weeks prior to Winesong! at the OddFellows Hall in Mendocino. The public is invited to see the incredible collection of art donated to the Hospital Foundation charity auctions as well as other artwork by participating artists.  It will be possible to submit bids on the auction pieces without attending the event by entering a closed bid at the Showcase or on-line.  Many of the artists will be sitting the Showcase and you may also meet them at a reception in August (date to be announced).
