Bird Watching With The Audubon Society

The mission of the Mendocino Coast Audubon Society is to help people appreciate and enjoy native birds, and to conserve and restore local ecosystems for the benefit of native birds and other wildlife.  The MCAS has regularly scheduled field trips and bird walks. 

Regular membership meetings of the Mendocino Coast Audubon Society are held the 3rd Monday of the month from September to May (except December) in Room 111 at the College of the Redwoods, 1211 Del Mar Drive, Fort Bragg. {Click here for a campus map}. Meetings are free and open to the public. Please check the Whistling Swan or the MCAS Website meetings page for up-dates.

Chapter Board meetings are held on the 4th Monday of the month from September through May at 6:00 pm. Members are welcome, please call ahead to confirm the date and location.

Field Trips are scheduled on the second Saturday of the month from September to May. Local birding hot spots are visited to take advantage of seasonal birding opportunities. See the Whistling Swan for changes, for additional trips and bird walks.

Monthly Bird Walks at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, led by an MCAS member, are scheduled year round on the 1st Saturday at 9:00 AM, and the 3rd Wednesday at 8:00 AM, of each month. We go light-rain or shine. For information call 964-6835.
